About | Outdoor Adventure Camp

Providing remarkable experiences

Outdoor Adventure Camp is a family-owned and operated day camp based in beautiful, history-rich Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. The summer camp will give your children amazing weeks that they’ll never forget! Summer camp experiences are fun and educational. Goals for your camper include: increased confidence, learning, building character, a sense of accomplishment, fun, and friendship.

About the OAC

During the 5-Day Adventure Camp, children will have the opportunity to participate in all of the activities that we offer at River Riders in Harpers Ferry. Over the course of 5 days, campers will experience ziplining, tubing, rafting, and climbing at the Adventure Park. Every week includes a field trip to Laser tag at Adventure Park USA! Our 3-Day Adventure Camps are a shortened experience where all of the fun is packed into 3 days instead!

In addition to experiencing all of the activities, during campers’ free time, we’ll teach them the basics of guiding and river safety. The intentional activities and structured free time help us reach our goals for your camper: increased confidence, learning, building character, a sense of accomplishment, fun, and friendship.

  1. Be on time. We cannot wait for late arrivals. Plan to arrive between 8-8:30 am each day so you will have time to get your gear and take care of last minute personal chores. Camp activities may begin in advance of late arrivals.
  2. Weather Conditions – All trips go rain or shine. We reserve the right to relocate or change the activity, raft size, number of campers per raft, and length of trip due to abnormal river flow and weather conditions. In the case of inclement weather, campers will be doing indoor activities. We are currently planning a variety of activities and last minute nearby locations that we could utilize to still have a great day!
  3. Leave your electronics, cell phones, rings, jewelry and valuables at home. Waterproof disposable cameras are available in our river shop and take excellent shots if desired. We suggest you not bring expensive cameras to camp. Outdoor Adventure Camp Counselors take photos throughout the week. **A Group Photograph and an Image Disc of all activity photos can be purchased together or separately.
